End-of-life brass mailbox locks replaced in a single morning
Village board for a Kings Point village (~120 units) called Premier in spring 2026 - the original 80s-vintage brass mailbox locks were failing on roughly 1-2 units per month, residents getting locked out of mail. Board wanted to do a batch replacement: 22 units that had reported issues in the prior 6 months.
Premier scheduled a Tuesday morning batch - 8 a.m. start, all 22 mailbox locks replaced by 11:15 a.m. New stainless-steel cylinders (better than the original brass), 2 keys per mailbox cut on-site, key-distribution sheet built with the village's social-room volunteer. Total: $935 ($42.50/box for the batch rate).
Village board followed up with another 18-box batch the following month after seeing how clean the first batch went. We are now their de facto mailbox-lock vendor and on retainer for the next 3 years.
